About Us

Our Pastors

Pastor Nkosinathi & Mrs Peggy Zwane

Devoted Church is a vibrant community founded on a profound journey of faith and devotion. In 2011, our founder, Nkosinathi Zwane, experienced a transformative moment of rebirth, sparking a deep commitment to Christ. Three years later, he received a divine calling to plant a church, embracing the mission to lead others into a life fully devoted to Jesus Christ.

With a decade of service as an ordained minister, Pastor Nkosinathi Zwane, alongside his wife Peggy Zwane, embarked on a remarkable journey to fulfil God’s calling. In March 2024, Devoted Church was officially founded, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its ministry.

Devoted Church is a place where you will be established in your identity in Christ Jesus through the preaching of the Gospel. We believe that the Word of God is our foundation, and as we feed on God’s Word, we will mature into spiritual fruitfulness.

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or seeking a community where you can grow deeper in your relationship with God, we invite you to join us at Devoted Church. Together, let’s discover the joy of living a life fully devoted to Christ Jesus.

Our Value...

Intimacy/Loving God

We seek to grow in intimacy with God through prayer, worship and the study of HIS Word.

Community

We strive to create a family of believers that values authentic relationships, connecting all generations.

Evengelisim

We accept the mission to reach our world with the message of Jesus Christ: Saviour, Baptiser, Healer, and Soon Coming King. We believe evangelism and disciple-making are not reserved for leaders, but are the responsibility of every believer as an act of obedience to Jesus.

Equipping

We are committed to discipline and equipping believers not only to mature in Christ but to reproduce their faith by discipling others.

Integrity

We will pursue a lifestyle of purity, walk in honesty, and serve with humility in a spirit of excellence.

Wholeness

We have a deep desire to serve hurt and broken people to be comforted, encouraged, and restored to discover their identity and fulfil their destiny in Christ.

Generosity

We embrace a lifestyle of extravagant giving expressed through the stewardship of our time, gifting, and resources.

Spiritual gifts

We recognise and honour the ongoing, gift-giving ministry of the Holy Spirit, and desire to cultivate an environment for the expression of all spiritual gifts with passion and Biblical order.

Next Generation

We are passionate about reaching and raising up emerging generations of children and youth who become devoted and mature followers of Christ.

Team Ministry

We endeavour to create an environment of unity through servant-oriented teamwork for the release of God’s gifting within his people.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God: true, immutable, steadfast, and unchangeable (2 Tim. 3:16,17)

God

We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit: the three are coexistent, coeternal, and equal in perfection (1 Jn. 5:7)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matt. 1:22-23, Is. 9:6, Jn. 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Heb. 4:14-15, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, Rom. 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Tim. 6:14-15, Tit. 2:13)

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by sincere repentance and wholehearted acceptance of Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Rom. 6:23, Rom. 10:6-10, Eph. 2:8-9, Jn. 14:6; 1:12, Tit. 3:5, Gal. 3:26, Rom. 5:11, Jn. 1:9)

Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe that being baptised in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an essential response to Jesus’ command, testifying to His lordship as Christ and King (Rom. 6:4). We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper, receiving the broken bread and the fruit of the vine with joy and faith as we partake anew of the life and triumph of Christ’s Cross (1 Cor. 11:24-26).

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers to exalt Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to be witnesses of God’s saving grace; we expect the Spirit’s incoming to be after the same manner as that in which He came upon believers in the days of the Early Church (1 Cor. 3:17, Jn. 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:5,8,2:4, 1 Cor. 2:12; 3:16, Eph 1:13, Gal 5:25, Eph 5:18).

Healing

We believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith; He, who does not change, is still willing and able to heal the body, as well as the soul and spirit in answer to faith (Mk. 16:17, 18; Jas. 5:14-16).

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent; the certainty of His coming and the fact that no man knows the hour of His coming prompt our evangelistic efforts; that the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, the dead in Christ shall rise, and the redeemed will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (Matt. 24:36, 42, 44; 1 Thes. 4:16, 17).
